General Questions

What does PES6J stand for?

PES6J stands for PES6 (Pro Evolution Soccer 6) Java, because the server is implemented in that language. Yes, we are not so imaginative.

What do I need to play in PES6J

You just need a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 installed in your system with a valid CD Key. Once you have it installed, you need an account in the PES6J website where you must be logged to get access to the server. To play with other people you might find interesting downloading the latest PES6J Patch.

Do I need any password to access the server?

You just need a registered and not banned account logged in the website. When the game client asks for a password to access the server in the screen where the CD Key appears you can type whatever you want. The server does not perform any kind of authentication system once you are logged in the server.

Ingame Questions

Is there any kind of rank system working in the server?

No, there is not any ranking system working right now. Why? Cheaters is the reason. During several months the moderators and administrator of the server had to work hard to ban cheaters from the server. This was happening mainly with disconnects, unfair patches, and premetidet lag actions from several players to others in order to get more rank easily. We did not have any tool to easy cover the multiaccount and our job was not giving results.

When the rank system and the stats will come back?

We are not thinking on activating it, but things are starting to work against cheaters and multiaccount users. Might be in an upcoming future the stats and rank system can be back.

Can I play tournaments and leagues with other players?

Of course you can. Groups of players join together to participate in leagues and tournaments managed through forum message boards. Some of these groups tryed before to use modified patches for these leagues, this is strictly forbidden. However we are working on a tournament tool that will be available soon where everybody can join to play official PES6J leagues and tournaments.

What is host and how does it work?

The host player is the one that is providing connection to other users for playing a match. In 1vs1 matches the first player hosts the first half and the second player hosts the second. That can be the reason that you might have lag in one of the match halves when you are playing 1vs1 games. In 2vs2 games, the first player hosts the whole match.

Technical Issues

I cannot connect to the server! What will I do?

First Relax. Check that you have internet connection and you are logged in the website. If you are logged, refresh the page and check your profile page to see if you are banned. Check that your hosts file configuration is properly setted up.

I can connect to the server but I cannot access any lobby!

You have to install the suitable patch version for the lobby you are connecting.

I have a message saying "An error ocurred during verification"

The possible reasons are that you are not logged in the website, your account is not mail activated or your account or IP address are banned from the server. Check that you are logged in the website, refresh the website or try to logout and logging again cleaning the browser cache. Check that your account is not banned.

I have a message talking about a "UDP Port Error"

Open the 5439 UDP port in your router firewall or change the Windows Firewall policies regarding the game

I receive a message saying the connection to the server cannot be stablished

Check the Windows Hosts file configuration, you can find more information in the How to play page. However the server can be down due to maintenance or other reasons. Just check the website for more information.

Accounts, rules, moderation, warnings and bans

Who are moderators and administrators and what do they do?

They are special users with privilegs that introduce content to the website, manage the forum, and study the complaint and support cases individually to give a solution. Moderators can warn or unwarn users. Administrators can also ban and unban users.

What moderators and administrators do not do?

They do not do any action on threats or even petitions directly received through personal messages, email or even social messaging like twitter. They are not going to activate accounts, unwarn or unban players without reason.

What is a complaint?

It is a message board where you can communicate with moderators and administrator to complaint about the behaviour of another player or user in the server or website. The result of a complaint, if it has proofs and a reason to do it might be a warning action or even ban if the behaviour is bad enough. Check the server and website rules before you send a complaint to check if you should do it or it would be fair to do it.

What is a support message?

It is a message board where you can communicate to moderators and administrators to ask about technical issues that are not anwsered in any other place of the website. Please read the content before you send a technical issue support message. The support messages can be also used to unwarn or unban a player when it has not been fairly warned or banned.

What is a warning?

It is a punishment given by a moderator or an administrator to a bad behaviour contained in rules and might be as a resolution of a complaint from another user. This value begins in 0% (No warning) to 100% that is translated in a ban.

How can I get lower warning level?

You must send a message to the support section with the Unwarn type. That time the moderators and administrator will study your case individually and will decide to remove your warning level or not.

What is a ban?

It is the highest punishment a user can take. It blocks the account and does not let the user access the server. This punishment is given with a 100% warning, multiaccount or a really bad behaviour and repetition of this situation is performed by a user.

How can I get unbanned?

You must send a support message or a friend must send it in your name with the Unban type petition. That time, the administrators and moderators will study your case individually and take a decision. We advice you to do not register another account to send the support message. The system will identify that you have created several accounts and you will be banned again. Do not send personal messages to admins or even tweets to the official PES6J account or admins account.

If I am banned, can I register another account?

You can, but you should not do that. If you are banned and you register another account, the system will find out that you are a multiaccount and your new account will be banned. If you do another account, same thing will happen. The only thing you can do is send a support message or say a friend to do it and wait.

I forgot my password, what should I do?

First of all, do not register another account, never (if you do not want to be banned). You must go to the Remember Password Page where the system will send you an email to your account to start the password recovery process. That mail can be received in your SPAM mailbox. Once you have restored your password you can change it through your profile easily.

I was registered in the old forum do not remember the password. I made a new account and now I am banned!

You are using several accounts. The old account does not count because you have not logged into it. Do not try to loose your time trying to register new accounts, we know what you have done and unless it has been unfair you will be banned for a long time.

I registered an account for my brother and we are both banned!

As is said in the Rules, in this case you have to share the same account with your brother, so you are banned because you have several accounts through the same computer and at the same time you are not reading the rules (it should be the first thing you should have done when you registered the account).
