Development diary
« on: June 05, 2009, 02:24:40 PM »
Ok i just decided to start my very own diary of actions than i'm taking to solve bugs / coding new stuff. I won't even try to remember what i did previous to this point.
So starting now, i'll be posting here just for whoever is curious to read. Also I think this could help myself have an overall view of what i've been done so far.

Ofcourse I will post here when i feel like doing so, not under any forced circumstances.

IDEA: about the blackscreens.

Even not beeing 100% sure of myself it still seems like on a light populated lobby blackscreens are less likely to happen. Previously i thought that blackscreens could be happening as a result of sending unnecessary packets to people which were already trying to start a match, that patch was applied and i couldn't notice a real reduction of blackscreen issues.

Next thing i'll be trying will be attempting not to send other rooms update info to people already in a room (if that info is to be sent when they leave their room at any rate that would be pretty unnecessary as they can't see the rest of the world from within their room), even if they are not starting a match yet.

As it was before this is just a guess, unsure if its feasible to be done, and completely unsure about if it will help the blackscreen issues.
